I had taken pictures of the other temples but I never visited Kravan temple so I was interested in seeing it.
I thought the color of the stone, the intricate carvings, and just the beauty and preservation level was quite nice. Work is underway to preserve and restore a lot of the temples. Its an international effort and I have seen signs from Japan, China, and India helping to preserve the heritage. That is a good thing. History is more than stones and bones and as my mentor RWR used to tell me,
you cannot excavate an idea
But if we lose the material parts or they naturally degrade, perhaps the ideas then come harder and we can never dig those up.
These were taken with my little compact Lumix camera. Its so easy and I guess I have become lazy to its point and shoot character for most things. I don’t think I will go find another camera any time soon or if I do, I would want another compact camera.
